With hours of wrangling to set up a password system and a short discussion with Derwyn, we have decided to make this blog public.  To make it an “invite only” blog would make people jump through way too many hoops and it would never be easy to get to the blog without a bunch of sign in stuff that really isn’t necessary.  We are not movie stars and have blocked the blog from showing up in search engines, so the only way someone can find it is if they have been given the web address.  With that in mind, we ask that you do NOT share the web address with anyone without asking us first.  You may think that we would be fine with anyone you might think of, but we do need to have a say in it – especially with Derwyn’s career change coming up (no, we still haven’t heard anything).  We ask that you respect this, please! Enough said…

For you to catch up on the blog entries I have been posting that haven’t been read yet, you will have to scroll down to the bottom of the page and read your way up.  All new posts are at the top of the page and the older ones get pushed down (I know most of you know this already, but there are some not-so-tech-savvy among us that need to know these things).  I hope you enjoy reading the blog as much as I am enjoying writing it.  It has been great to know that it will be easier to keep in touch with you all – facebook is not all it’s cracked up to be and I never use it…

Here’s the latest update on life, the universe and everything.  Laurenne hasn’t found out yet about the school musical – maybe Monday.  Andrew is writing a Halloween story for his kindergarten reading buddy and doing a great job (it’s amazing how much he creates when he doesn’t have to be the one to write it out – I scribe for him as he speaks and he only has to do the good copy – oh, how much better homework time has become).  Derwyn starts his thesis this week.  The university is on their week long reading break and he is excited to get things rolling.  I have a job interview at the jewellery store on Monday at 12:30.  I don’t really want this job either, but if I don’t get enough hours at the library to start, I need to do something and Restoration Hardware sure hasn’t been a cup of tea.  We’ll see on Tuesday – I work at RH from 8-5 yuck!  This working for a living is for the birds!

Happy reading and we can’t wait to hear from you soon.
